BOSSIER CITY, La. - Monday is a big day for Bossier City and for locals who are excited to try something new.
It's been 16 months since the groundbreaking for Chasing Aces. Chasing Aces will officially open to the public at 11 a.m.
It's sports entertainment centered around golf and has the traditional swing bays seen at similar businesses. But Chasing Aces wanted to up the ante.
"It's golf entertainment, but it's even more than that. We have a par three golf course that we built. We have a putting golf course that we built. We have baseball with the home run dugout. So we built something that families can come out and just have fun, said Chasing Aces Chief Operating Officer Mike Mitton.
Locals are excited to experience Chasing Aces with their families and think the business is exactly what Shreveport-Bossier needed.
"I have a five-year-old and a 10-year-old, and they're both going to love it. My wife's never played golf, and she just had a great time. She beat me in three games. It's got everything surrounding it to bring in an awesome crowd. I just see this place taking off once it gets full and up and going," said Collins Hubbard, who attended the soft opening for Chasing Aces.
Don't worry, you don't need to be good at golf to have a good time at Chasing Aces.
