An arrest has been made in southmost end of Jasper County involving police chase. Officers say it all began shortly before 2:00 on Saturday afternoon when Jasper County Precinct 6 Constable Chad Ainsworth was notified that officers in nearby Orange County were involved in a chase that was headed towards Jasper County.
Constable Ainsworth set up in a strategic location and waited and within a short time spot the runaway motorcycle was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed.
Following a short chase, Constable Ainsworth was able to stop the motorcycle and soon had taken the driver in custody.
The suspect, who was later identified as Chase Yates, 34, of Vidor was later turned over to officers in Orange County.
