One person was injured in a two vehicle auto accident that occurred on Wednesday morning on Martin Luther King Drive here in Jasper.
Police and other emergency personnel were dispatched to the location near the intersection of Adams Road at 7:30, when it was reported that a Toyota Camry had crashed into the rear of a City of Jasper garbage truck.
An official report has not been released, but it appeared that the garbage truck had stopped to pick up a garbage can when it was rear ended by the Toyota, which was eastbound on MLK.
The incident occurred as the sun was coming up in the east, blinding the driver of the Toyota, which reportedly taken by a family member to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The driver of the garbage truck was not injured in the crash.
