A traffic stop on Interstate 10 in Calcasieu Parish revealed numerous weapons which law enforcement says was being transported to Mexico. According to the Calcasieu Parish Anti-Drug Task Force, officers stopped a car-hauler truck which was carrying three vehicles – one of which was a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan. Officers say the weapons were hidden in a modified compartment in the floor of the van. Officers say they found 13 rifles, 9 pistols, 1 shotgun, 49 rifle magazines, 17 handgun magazines, and more than 2,000 rounds of ammunition, all of which was confiscated. According to officers, the driver said that he was delivering the vehicles to Mexico and he claimed that he didn’t know that he was hauling the hidden weapons.
