The burn bans for Jasper and Newton Counties were cancelled late Tuesday morning. This comes after rainfall on Monday and more rain predicted for the weekend.
Local fire departments remind people to never leave a burn pile unattended, and always have a water hose near the fire in case it starts to spread.
