The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department says a Buna man went to jail late Friday afternoon after threatening a property owner with a shotgun. It happened at about 4:00 on Highway 96 South in Buna.
According to the report, 59-year-old Jamie Lee Brooks was armed with a shotgun when he was trespassing on property. The report said when the property owner confronted him, Brooks pointed the shotgun at him and then walked away.
Brooks was found and arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
