Both the Brookeland Lady Cats softball team and the Wildcats baseball team are still alive in the UIL playoffs.
The softball team is heading to the State Semi-Final where they will play Leakey after they defeated Avery last Thursday by a score of 18-0.
The baseball team is heading to the Region 3 Finals. They’ll face Avalon after eliminating Chester from the playoffs last week.

The softball team is playing for one of two spots in the Class 1A State Championship that will be on the campus of the University of Texas in Austin at Red and Charlie McCombs Stadium at 10:00am on Saturday, May 31st.
A baseball win would send the boys to a State Semi-Final match up against the winner of the Round Top-Carmine and Fayetteville series.
