The Tyler County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an early Thursday morning burglary at the BOM Bank in Chester.
According to Sheriff Bryan Weatherford, deputies responded to an alarm at the bank about 2:00am and arrived to find a glass door busted out, but the suspects were already gone.
Weatherford said the bank’s security cameras recorded two black males breaking in, and they then tried, but failed, to open the safe and left it damaged.
