The Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Department in Leesville says a hunter on an ATV found a body in a densely wooded area on Tuesday morning near the east shore of Lake Anacoco, and it is a man who had been missing since April. The deceased has been identified as 61-year-old Bobby Burns. According to deputies the family reported him missing after they discovered that he was not at home and they couldn’t reach him on his cell phone. His vehicle had been found abandoned near where his body was found on Tuesday. Deputies say no foul play is suspected. Lake Anacoco is located west of Leesville and south of Louisiana Highway 8.
