Jefferson County Justice of the Peace Joseph Guillory II has confirmed to KFDM 6 News that the body found in a submerged car on Tuesday in a Port Arthur waterway was, indeed, that of a missing Beaumont man. Beaumont Police say 80-year-old Robert Quinn went missing on Monday afternoon. At about 8:00 that evening, witnesses saw Quinn’s 2019 Jaguar car go over the Port Arthur seawall and plunge into the Sabine-Neches Waterway. Searchers found the car on Tuesday afternoon. The current in the waterway had pushed it about 100 yards downstream from where it went in.
