Beaumont Police shot and killed a gun wielding man late Monday morning. The incident occurred just before the noon hour on Ashley Avenue near 7th Street. According to police, they responded to a report of a man, later identified as 68-year-old Charles Patrick Carroll, being possibly suicidal. Police say when officers arrived they found the man armed and shot and killed him. According to police, the two officers involved have been placed on administrative leave as the investigation into the deadly shooting continues.
