Jasper County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Scotty Duncan says a bass boat was stolen over the weekend from a motel at Lake Sam Rayburn. According to Duncan, the report came in on Sunday from an out-of-town angler who was staying at Rayburn Inn (formerly the Bass Buster Inn) on Sam Rayburn Parkway. The boat is a black Vexus brand with a black Mercury outboard motor and it's on a black trailer. Duncan said as of Monday morning, deputies were continuing to investigate.
