Arrests made after multiple gunshots fired into a Beaumont home

Beaumont Police say three teenagers and the father of one of them have been arrested after multiple gunshots were fired into a house in the north end of town. Police say it happened at about 2:00 on Wednesday morning. Police said they went to the home of the suspects where they found drugs and stolen property, and they also seized multiple weapons. Police said one of the guns had been modified with a “switch device”, turning it into an automatic weapon. Due to the switch device, the three could also face federal firearms charges. The teenagers have been identified as Eddie Davis, Jr., 17, and Jason Murchison, Jr., 18, while the third was 16-years-old and his name was not released due to his age. All three have been charged with Deadly Conduct-Discharging a Firearm, and other charges are pending. Meanwhile, Jason Murchison, Sr., age 41 and the father of Jason Murchison, Jr, was also arrested and he was charged with Interference with Police Duties.
