LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Lufkin police are searching for people involved in a shooting Tuesday night in the 200 block of Finley Street.
Police responded about 9:45 p.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots and found residents gathered in the area on Finley Street.
After speaking with residents, Lufkin police determined an argument over a parking space and loud music after hours led to gunfire between multiple individuals, according to Lufkin police spokesperson Jackie Zimmerman.
Witnesses said drove up in a vehicle and began to shoot at the apartment, Zimmerman said.
One man believed to be involved was detained at the scene for questioning but was not arrested, Zimmerman said. Others left before police arrived.
Officers found bullet holes on the outside of the residence where one of the individuals in the argument is believed to live, with the bullet holes appearing to come from inside the residence, Zimmerman said.
The windows of two nearby vehicles, and a window of one apartment, were struck by gunfire, and an automatic rifle was seized from one of the homes, among other weapons, Zimmerman said.
No injuries were reported and the investigation remains ongoing.
