It was another violent weekend in the Golden Triangle. Police in Port Arthur are investigating a shooting that reportedly left one person dead and two others injured. Officers and other emergency personnel were called to the 700 block of Proctor Street, in Downtown Port Arthur shortly after 3:00 on Sunday morning, when it was reported that the incident had occurred. All three victims of the shooting were transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont where one of them died a short time later. However, the other people continue to undergo treatment and one of them is reported to be in critical condition. The deceased was later identified as Robert Scott, 23, by police chief Tim Duriso. However, what happened and what sparked the shooting is not known. Beaumont Police are investigating a shooting at The End Zone, a bar and pool hall in the 3430 block of Concord Road near Ironton Street on the city’s northeast side that left one person in critical condition. Police were called to the location shortly after 3:00 on Sunday morning, when it was reported that a fight had broken out and several shots had been fired. Officers said that upon their arrival they found that a shooting victim had been taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital by private car. The 28-year-old man who had reportedly been shot several times, was said to be in critical condition.
