A third suspect has been arrested in connection with the recent chase by Jasper County Sheriff's Deputies near Roganville in Jasper County. Jathan James, 18, of Kirbyville, was arrested and taken into custody on Wednesday. James is charged with Burglary of Habitation, Theft of Firearm, State Jail Felony, four counts of Burglary of Building, and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. Following the routine traffic stop and chase on January 5th, Rodie Day of Newton and Tristan Dalgleish were taken into custody. Dalgleish, was arrested on an unrelated Newton County warrant. There were multiple items in the vehicle, which was spray-painted and had the license plates removed. Day was charged with Unlawful Carry of a Weapon, Evading Arrest/Detention w/Vehicle, Burglary of Habitation, Unauthorized Use of Vehicle, Theft of Firearm, four counts of Burglary of Building, and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Bond on Day was set at $122,500.00 set by Pct. 6 Justice of the Peace Steve Conner and Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace Raymond Hopson. Dalgleish was charged with Burglary of Habitation, 2nd Degree Felony, Theft of a Firearm, four counts of Burglary of Building, and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Bond on Dalgleish was set at bonds totaling $92,500.00 set by Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace Raymond Hopson. He also has been denied bond on Bond Forfeiture for Burglary of a Building in Newton County, which was said to be an unrelated incident.
