Another armed robbery of convenience store in Jasper, third in one week

It has happened again. Jasper Police are investigating another armed robbery, this time it occurred at the Dover Exxon Jiffy Market at the intersection of State Highway 63 West at Farm to Market Road 777. Police were called to the store shortly before 10:00 Monday night when it was reported that a man had walked into the store with a green costume mask on his face and a gun in his hand demanding cash. This is the third armed robbery of a convenience store in Jasper within a week. The first crime occurred shortly after midnight on Monday, February 13th at the JOC Stop Convenience Store at 645 South Wheeler Street. In that case, police said a black male wearing all black clothing robbed the store at gunpoint. The second crime occurred shortly after 9:00 pm on Tuesday, February 14th at the Quick Way Convenience Store at 2147 North Wheeler Street. In that case, police said three males robbed the store at gunpoint and then forced the clerk into a back room before they fled.
