The Angelina River Fire Department was called upon to assist firefighters in neighboring Angelina County with a wildfire there. The call came out at 4:00 Thursday afternoon on Highway 63, near the Jasper/Angelina County line. Angelina River firefighters wrapped up their involvement with the blaze shortly before 5:00.
