A Jasper County Sheriff’s Department deputy arrested an Angelina County man shortly after midnight Thursday in Buna after he found him in possession of a loaded handgun and methamphetamine. According to the report, the deputy stopped a 2019 Ford pickup truck on Highway 96 which was driven by 31-year-old Daniel Standley, of Pollock. The report said Standley was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon.
