KTRE 9 News in Lufkin is reporting that an Angelina County Jail inmate died just under two hours after being book in. The report said the man was arrested Friday evening after being found intoxicated and sitting on a Lufkin street. According to the report, the man was booked in at 9:42pm, and at 11:36pm he was found slumped over and unresponsive. The inmate was taken by ambulance to a Lufkin hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The name of the man had not been released as of mid-day Sunday.
