A tragic motorcycle accident on I-10 South at S Major Drive early this morning resulted in the death of Emily Jolet, 31, of Chambers County and left her husband, Clifton Jolet, 41, Chambers County, critically injured.
Authorities reported that Clifton was operating the motorcycle with Emily as a passenger when he lost control, causing the vehicle to veer off the roadway and collide with a concrete culvert.
Both were ejected from the motorcycle. Emily was pronounced dead at the scene, while Clifton was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Justice of the Peace Ben Collins Sr. has ordered an autopsy. The couple was reported to be residents of Chambers County.
