Sabine County Sheriff’s Office Press Release

(Hemphill, Texas) On March 14, 2025, Sabine County Investigators, after a long-term investigation, arrested 52-year-old, Gary Wayne Farmer, of Hemphill, Texas on five counts of Manufacturing/Delivery of narcotics, several of which were methamphetamines related.  He is currently in custody pending the posting of $75,000.00 dollars in bonds.

On March 14, 2025, during the overnight hours, Deputies attempted to execute an arrest warrant in the 100 block of Wild Cherry Drive.  During the course of the on -scene investigation Deputies developed sufficient probable cause to obtain a search warrant for the residence.  A search warrant was granted and during the resulting search, over seventy-six grams of Methamphetamines was recovered.  Tammy Lynette Stetson, 53, of Hemphill, Texas, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.  She remains in custody pending the posting of a $30,000.00 dollar bond.

During the early morning hours of March 13, 2025, Deputies while on patrol observed a traffic violation in the area of Farm to Market Road 83 East, near the Hemphill City Limit.  Deputies made a traffic stop and identified the driver as Douglas Coleman (Coleman) 49 of Hemphill, Texas.  As a result of the traffic stop, Probable Cause was developed and Coleman was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance as well as Possession of Marijuana.  He was booked into the Sabine County Jail on the felony level charge as well as the misdemeanor charge involving the marijuana.  His bond was set on both charges which totaled $13,500.00 dollars.  He is currently in custody, pending the posting of his bond.

On the evening of March 5, 2025, patrol Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop on US 96 in the Pineland, Texas area.  Once Probable Cause was established Deputies search the vehicle and located, a felony amount, of Methamphetamines inside the vehicle.  They arrested Sandra Theresa Hall, 55, from Henderson, Texas who was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.  She later posted a $15,000.00 dollar surety bond and was released from the Sabine County Jail.
