SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The Shreveport Police Department is asking citizens to return six guns that fell from a stolen UPS truck during a police pursuit.
On Feb. 17, Skyler Jarvis reportedly stole a UPS truck that contained firearms and controlled substances. While fleeing from police, Jarvis hit two police vehicles. SPD says they believe this is when guns fell onto the road. Officials say the six missing firearms (handguns and rifles) are considered to be officially stolen and have been entered into the national crime database. Those caught with one will be arrested. However, SPD says anyone who found a gun can turn it at their nearest police station with no questions asked.
