CROWLEY, La. (KPLC) - A 2-year-old child is hospitalized after someone fired several rounds into a car he was sleeping in, shooting him in the head, police said.
The boy was asleep in his car seat when around 17 shots were fired into a Kia on North Avenue I Monday night, Crowley Police Chief Troy Hebert said. He was airlifted to a hospital.
Two women in the car were unhurt, Chief Hebert said.

Chief Hebert requested prayers for the child and said his department’s hearts are broken.
