SHREVEPORT, La. -- Two Shreveport women are in jail, accused on Sunday of leaving their young children in a hot car parked in a grocery store parking lot on North Market. Shreveport police rescued the eight-month-old and two-year-old children by forcing entry into the vehicle. Their actions triggered the car's alarm, which alerted the owners, Jacqueline Williams, 57, and Elizabeth Williams, 25, to return. Both women were arrested and the children were taken to a nearby hospital to be checked out. Both will recover even after being left in the hot vehicle for 30 minutes, police said.
