NATCHITOCHES, La. -- Natchitoches police have arrested two teenagers in connection with a shooting last month that left a person injured.
Kaiden Burks, 17, and a 15-year-old juvenile are charged with attempted second-degree murder. Both were placed in a juvenile facility in Jackson Parish.
The shooting happened on the afternoon of Feb. 13 on Saida Street. One person was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. Bullet casings were retrieved from the shooting scene.
On Thursday, Natchitoches police, the Violent Crimes Task Force and the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted several search warrants inside the city and in the parish. Those searches led to the arrest of Burks and the juvenile.
