SMITH COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - Two people were found dead Wednesday after a plane crash in northwest Smith County. According to Texas DPS Sgt. Adam Albritton, the plane crashed around 10 p.m. Smith County Emergency Services District 2 and Smith County Sheriff’s deputies were first called out to look for the crashed small plane. Deputies found the crash site on private property near Burleson Lake, just north of Live Oak Drive. Upon arrival, they found two people had died, according to Albritton. Both the National Transportation and Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are investigating the incident.
