NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB) - Two suspects have been arrested after an alleged attempted burglary, according to the Natchitoches Police Department.
Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Fairgrounds Road on May 17 around 9:22 p.m. regarding a burglary in progress. The victim told police they heard someone trying to enter the house.
Police found three people near a wooded area behind the home, but the suspects ran away towards the University Terrace apartment complex.
Two of the suspects were caught and arrested them without incident. Police found two firearms that the suspects allegedly threw on the ground while trying to escape. The guns were reported stolen through the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.
LaDarius Bobb, 18, was charged with attempted aggravated burglary, obstruction of justice and resisting an officer. He was placed in the LaSalle Corrections / Natchitoches Parish Detention Center.
Devin Evans, 17, was charged with attempted aggravated burglary, possession of a stolen firearm, obstruction of justice and resisting an officer. He was placed in the Jackson Parish Correctional Center.
This incident is still under investigation and more charges are pending.
