TRINITY, Texas (KTRE) - Trinity police said a teen “literally drove the wheels off” a truck in a pursuit across five counties.
According to the Trinity Police Department, a 17-year-old fled through the counties of Trinity, Houston, Polk, Tyler and Hardin Sunday morning.
He covered over 100 miles, “dodging and weaving spike strips,” police said.
The truck was stopped just outside of Kountze, and police said they took the driver into custody without further incident. He was taken back to Trinity County.
The department said no one was injured in the chase.
The Trinity County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Highway Patrol, Houston County Sheriffs Office and other agencies assisted.
