UPSHUR COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - After a routine traffic stop, 11 undocumented people were detained in Upshur County Thursday evening.
According to the Upshur County Precinct 1 Constable‘s Office, a white van was pulled over near the intersection of FM 1404 and Hwy 155 because of an improper license plate.
The van had 11 people inside, and none of them had documentation, the constable’s office said. Upshur County is part of the 287 (g) Immigration and Customs Enforcement program and ICE was notified.
ICE arrived a short time later and the 11 individuals were taken into custody.
