NATCHITOCHES, La. -- A man wanted in connection with a homicide in Natchitoches has been found dead in Cane River Lake. Angle Lee Reed was found dead today in Cane River Lake. The body of Angle Lee Reed, 31, was found Wednesday afternoon. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Natchitoches police identified Reed and Alvin James Holden, 26, of Natchitoches as suspects in a shooting early Sunday morning that claimed the life of Marshall Claiborne, 55. He was found on Lakeview Drive suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Claiborne died later at the hospital. No additional details were released about the circumstances of the shooting. Police said Reed and Holden were wanted for second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder. NPD was contacted about a body in Cane River Lake around 2:11 p.m. The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office's search and rescue boat assisted in the recovery. Holden is still wanted.
