Mr. Dexter B. Richards, age 53, a lifelong resident of San Augustine, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Nacogdoches Medical Center.
He was born December 22, 1970, in San Augustine County.
Services are set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home Chapel, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, with Bro. Orvin Garrett officiating. Committal services with veteran honors will follow at Greer Cemetery, located on FM 711 North.
Berl Smith
Mr. Berl Edward Smith, age 92, of San Augustine County passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Stone Creek Nursing Home.
He was born October 28, 1931, in San Augustine County to parents Ruth (Balch) and Clarence Lee Smith and had been a longtime area resident. Visitation will be held Friday, June 7, 2024, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2024, at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel with Rev. Preston Fitzgerald and Rev. Mark Landers officiating. Interment will follow at the New Hope Cemetery, located off FM 354.
Kenneth Edward Seegers
Kenneth Edward Seegers was born on Friday, March 10, 1940 in Haynesville, Louisiana. He passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at his residence in Many, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Bethsadia Baptist Church with Pastor Dean Johnson officiating and the eulogy delivered by Bruce McDugald. Burial will follow in the Bethsadia Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Bethsadia Baptist Church.
