On January 08, 2025, Barbara Martin Dowden, passed away at 89. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Gillis, La., from 5-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 9 a.m. until time of service. Her service will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Gillis at 10:30 a.m. Rev. EJ McCann will officiate the service. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, in the sanctuary of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of DeRidder, with Brother Danny Wilson officiating at 12:00PM. A short visitation will be held before the service starting at 11:00AM in the sanctuary of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of DeRidder. Visitation will be Friday, January 17 from 5-8pm at Disciples Of Jesus Christ Outreach. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 18 at 11am at Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church, preceded by a visitation beginning at 10am until time of service. Interment will be at Beauregard Cemetery. Rev. Dr. Elliot W.
