Funeral services for Bro. Howard Pennington, 74, of Many, LA, will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Emmanuel Gospel Pentecostal Church with Bro. Gordon Simmons and Bro. Darrell Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Knot Cemetery.

Stevie L. Carroll was born on Monday, October 6, 1941 in Florien, LA. He passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Sabine Medical Center in Many, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kermit Carroll and Leona (Salter) Carroll; sister, Patsy Ellzey and his nephew, David Farmer. He is survived by his sisters, Susan Farmer of Florien, LA and Cynthia Taylor of Roswell, GA; nieces, Margie Sloan and husband Orlando of Florien, LA and Brooke Taylor of Stonewall, LA; nephew, Timothy Taylor and wife Olivia of Memphis, TX; and his great nephew, Thomas Fitch of Shreveport, LA; great nieces, Adrianna, Isabella, Emelina Taylor of Memphis, TN. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

James Leonard LaRue was born on Monday, July 8, 1946 in Converse, LA. He passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 in Shreveport, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Willis LaRue, Sr. and Velma Alice (Davis) LaRue; son, James Scott LaRue and his brother, Ernest LaRue, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Betty LaRue of Zwolle, LA; step-son, Rickey Malmay of Noble, LA; sister, Faye LaRue Smith of Leesville, LA; grandchildren: Jessica Golden of Shreveport, LA, Andre LaRue and wife Rosy of Florida, Trenton Malmay of Noble, LA, Tia Malmay of Noble, LA, and James Jordan LaRue of Florida; great grandchildren: Ava Joy LaRue of Florida, Kolton Martinez of Shreveport, LA, Chaz Martinez of Shreveport, LA, Luca Golden of Shreveport, LA, and Valik Golden of Shreveport, LA; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
