The Many Tigers, fresh off a win over DeRidder last week made their appearance this past Friday night at Holton and kick the Buccaneers 45-42 double overtime win over the previous unbeaten team as Deacon LaFollette boomed a winning 33 yard field goal.
The Tigers receiving the kick off, would march down the field against the Buccaneers for a 10 play, 80 yard drive, climax by Jeremiah James 14 yard td run to get the Tigers on the scoreboard 6-0, LaFollette pat put the 7-0, 8:05 left in the first quarter.
The Buccaneers, with 7:59 remaining in the first quarter, got on the scoreboard by picking up their own fumble at the 21 and taking it in the end zone and would tie it up at 7. 6:46 left in the first quarter.
The Tigers, would fumble on their next possession as the Buccaneers recovered the ball at their own 39.
It took the Bucs 10 plays 61 yard drive to go ahead of the Tigers on a 24 yard td, pat good 14-7, 11:48 remaining in the second quarter.
The Tigers then 3 and out, punted to the Bucs.
The Bucs , 2 plays later scored on a 50 yard touchdown pass to up their lead to 21-7, 10:16 remaining in the second quarter. 21 unanswered points by the Bucs.
The Tigers, came storming back as Tylen Singleton scored on a 16 yard touchdown, LaFollette pat, score now, 21-14, Bucs, with 7:32 left in the half.
The Tigers defense rose up to stop the Bucs offense. The punt by the Bucs, pinned the Tigers back at their own 5.
On first down, QB Hayden Evans connected with tight end Jaxon Foster for 18 yards. James picked up 6 yards before exploding for an 48 yard run. Two plays later, Singleton scored from 2 yards out as LaFollette pat made the score 21-14, 4:29 left in the first half.
The Bucs would fumble on their next possession, as Garet Culverson recovered at the Bucs 36, with 2.46 remaining in the first half.
James would then carry for 6,4,6, yards before capping off the drive on a 14 td with:42 left in the half. James took the pitch out from Evans, reverse the field of play and scored. LaFollette pat good, 28-21. Tigers scored 21 unanswered points.
But the Bucs were not through, as they would score on the last play of the half, as the 2 teams were tied at 28,

35-28, with 8:17 left in the third quarter.
The Bucs on their next possession, tied the game up at 35 on a 77 yard td reception, now it's 6:24 in the third quarter.
The Tigers defense would come up with a fumble recovery at their own 20.
The offense would get all the way down to the Bucs 9, as they made a stand to stop the Tigers.
The Bucs would then drive down to score a touchdown as they now had the lead 42-35 and just 10:28 remaining in the game.
But who knew, that would be all the points they would score.
The Tigers offense and defense would then take control.
With 6:34 left in the game, James and the Tigers offense would tied the game up at 42. James scored on a 18 td run, LaFollette pat good.
The Bucs try to muster a drive late in regulation as they lined up for an 53 field goal attempt, but was blocked by the rugged Tiger team with less than : 10 seconds remaining and then its overtime.
The Tigers first possession in overtime from the 10, resulted in the Tigers being stopped at the half yard line on fourth down. Advantage Bucs: The Tigers defense stiffened and forced the Bucs to attempt a 22 yard field goal for the win, but the kicked sailed wide right. Still tied at 42, second overtime.
The Bucs went first in the second overtime, as once again, the Tigers defense, weary, banged up, tired held the Bucs out of the end zone once again and they would attempt a field goal of 22 yards, but it too went wide to the right. Now advantage: Many Tigers: on a fourth down and 17, Deacon LaFollette trots on the field for a 33 yard field goal attempt, as he drilled the ball right down the middle of the goal post to cap a hard fought 45-42 victory over the Haughton Buccaneers to improve to 2-1 on the season. The Tigers travel to New Orleans this Friday to battle Newman.
