The Many Tigers got down to business early in the first quarter in their first state playoff game as they racked up 21 points in the quarter, enroute to a 49-0 victory.
In the first quarter, Jeremiah James scored on a 28 yard TD run, then it was London Williams adding a 21 yard TD scamper and Swazy D. Carheel scoring on a 1 yard fumble recovery. Deacon Lafollette kicked good for all pat's for a 21-0 lead after quarter.
Jeremiah James rushed for 2 TD'S in the second quarter on runs of 26 & 15 yards. Lafollette points after saw the Tigers lead at 35-0 at the half.
London William's concluded the scoring on the night on a 64 yard TD in the third quarter and added a 1 yard TD run in the fourth quarter. Lafollette, who was perfect on the night 7 for 7, added the final 2 points for the 49-0 win.
The Tigers defense held Independence to minus 10 yards on the night, while the Tigers had 468 yards in the contest.
London William's rushed for 235 yards and also had 3 TD'S on the night.
Jeremiah James tallied 134 yards, who also had 3 TD'S for the host team.
The Tigers will travel to Clinton, as they will play East Feliciana this Friday night. East Feliciana defeated Pine last Friday night on the road 55-35.
