  • Penny Ann McVey, born on August 13, 1964, in Richwood, VA, passed away on September 23, 2025. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Penny's life at a funeral service scheduled for Monday, September 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. A public viewing will take place from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, leading up to the service. Following the service, Penny will be cremated
  • (Ret.) CW3 Franklin L. Neal of Anacoco, LA, passed away peacefully at home on September 24, 2025. Funeral services for Franklin will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Oak Grove Congregational Methodist Church in Burr Ferry with Reverends George Jeane and Travis Kay officiating. The burial with full military honors will follow in Burr Ferry Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Oak Grove Congregational Methodist Church on Monday, September 29th from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
  • Hazel Diane Whiddon Nolen, who left us on September 26, 2025, at the age of 76. Visitation will be at Myers Colonial Funeral Home on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 9:00AM until the start of the service at 1:00PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 1:00 PM, also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Brother Bobby Pfantz will officiate the service. Diane will be laid to rest at Newlin Cemetery in Singer, Louisiana.
  • Sandra "Sandy" Gail Perry Lee, passed away on September 24, 2025. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 3:00 PM until the time of memorial service at 5:00 PM at New Life Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA. Brother Mike Mitchell will officiate the service. Cremation has been entrusted to Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.
  • Wilfredo "Freddy" Cruz-Rios passed away September 20, 2025, in Alexandria, Louisiana at the age of 70. A memorial service with military honors will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the Central Louisiana Veteran's Cemetery in Leesville.
