Pauline Lee Shaw
Pauline Lee Shaw, 97, of Many, Louisiana, passed peacefully to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
Born December 31, 1923 in Peason, Louisiana to Henry and Rena Lee, she lived in Many most of her life. Ms. Shaw had resided at Sabine Retirement and Rehab Center the past several years. She was a faithful lifelong member of Church of the Nazarene.
Mrs. Lee graduated from Northwestern State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education. In 1948, she began teaching first grade class, and for the following 30 years taught first grade in Sabine Parish until retirement in 1978. Ms. Lee will long be remembered by her students and fellow teachers for the soft voice and gentle manner that calmed many anxious first grade children. All that knew Ms. Lee are reminded of her love, inspiration and understanding she always showed everyone.
As an only child, Ms. Pauline Lee Shaw is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Rena Lee; and husband, Rev. J. D. Shaw. She is survived by many loving cousins.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 28, 2021 at Fort Jesup Cemetery.
