- Kathleen Scherffius, age 76, of Broaddus, Texas, passed away peacefully in Tyler, Texas, on March 9, 2026. She was born August 27, 1949, in San Augustine, Texas, to Lovie Wise Dickerson and Roger C. "Cheezy" Dickerson. A visitation will be held Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine, Texas. Memorial services will begin following the visitation, with burial at the Broaddus Cemetery. A fellowship gathering will follow the burial at the Broaddus Community Center.
- Sargent Major Leroy B. Sanders was born on June 29, 1930. He respectfully passed away at his home. Graveside services will be held on today at 9:00 A.M. at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville.
- Charles Timothy Hughes, 65, of DeRidder, Louisiana, passed away on March 22, 2026. A funeral service will be held today, at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Pastor Charlie Williams will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Lewis Cemetery. A visitation will be today from 11:00am until the time of the service, at Myers Colonial Funeral Home.
- Elizabeth Smithart, 67, of DeRidder, LA passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026. Visitation will be tomorrow from 10am-12pm at Chaddick Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will be tomorrow at 12pm at Chaddick Funeral Home. Rev. Byron Williams will officiate.
- Leonard Womack Hutson, age 84, passed away on March 21, 2026, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Born on September 21, 1941, in Lufkin, Texas. The viewing will be held at Jeane's Funeral Home on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Followed by burial at the Veterans Cemetery at Fort Polk.
