- John Malcolm Cardy, Sr.,71, of DeRidder, LA passed from this life peacefully on March 7, 2026. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Fullerton Community Church, 1445 Hwy 399, Pitkin, LA. Visitation will continue Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 8:00 AM until the time of service at 10:00 AM, also at Fullerton Community Church. Reverend Dale Mortenson will officiate the service. Burial will follow the service at Glass Window Cemetery in Slagle, LA.
- Linda Dyson Cooper, 71, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, surrounded by love. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of Myers Colonial Funeral Home at 5:00pm on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Pastor George Glass will officiate the service. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at Myers Colonial Funeral Home from 3:00pm until 5:00pm.
- Reginal Norris Fletcher, Jr., who left us on March 1, 2026, at the age of 76. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Reggie's life with a funeral service at Myers Colonial Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 11:00 am. There will be a public viewing prior to the service starting at 9:00 am that same day. Following the service, Reggie will be laid to rest at Cannon Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
- Toni Layne James-Doyle, 58, of DeRidder, LA passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10 from 5-7pm at Chaddick Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 11 at 11am at Chaddick Funeral Home. Interment will be at Whitaker Cemetery. Rev. Gary Bankson will officiate.
- Morris "Payne" Major Sr., who left us on March 4, 2026, at the age of 86. Funeral services to honor Payne's life will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 with Visitation from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 at New Hope CME Church. The funeral will follow at 11:00am in the chapel of New Hope CME Church. Pastor Quincey Major will be officiating the services. Burial will follow the service at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery at 1:30 pm. A repast will be held at the hall of New Hope CME Church at 3:30 pm.
- Linda Sue Dace Canoy, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in Leesville Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville with Rev. Wesley S. Manning officiating. Burial will follow in the Canaan Baptist Cemetery in Leesville. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14th from 12:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
