Visitation will be at the Pleasant Hill Baptist church on Thursday at 5-8 p.m. with services held on Friday at 10 a.m. also at the Pleasant Hill church. Burial will follow the service at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Glenda Ruth "Granny" Shird, 77, of Merryville, LA passed from this life on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Visitation will be Friday, June 20, 2025, at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM, also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Her son, Brother Lester Shird, along with Brother Milton Powers will officiate the service. Burial will follow the service at Old Cypress Cemetery in Rosepine, LA. Carolyn Maria Lirette passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025, at the age of 87. A graveside service and Catholic Final Blessing of the Grave will be held Saturday June 21, 2025 at 2:00PM at Beauregard Cemetery. Grover Aubrey (G.A.) Holaway, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville, Bro. Joe Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st from 12:30 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Junius W. Carter, a beloved husband, devoted stepfather, cherished brother, and proud grandfather, who left this world on June 6, 2025, at the age of 92. His funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 9:00 AM, at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
