Funeral service will be Friday, July 4 at 1 pm at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Interment will be at Blue Branch Cemetery. Rev. Russell L. Johnson will officiate. Rufus Piper, 94, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Friday, June 27, 2025. Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion in DeRidder, LA. Burial will follow at Community Cemetery in DeRidder, LA. Melba Jean Horton Pruitt, who left this world on June 29, 2025, at the age of 90. A celebration of Melba's life will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Anacoco Pentecostal Church in Anacoco, Louisiana. Interment will follow at Mitchell Cemetery in Anacoco, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at Anacoco Pentecostal Church. Clark William Jones, a cherished father, beloved brother, and devoted grandparent, passed away on July 1, 2025, in Leesville, Louisiana, at the age of 75. Clark's family will receive friends on Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. at the American Legion Post 145 in Leesville, Louisiana. Felipe (Phillip) Cruz Bentancur, 61, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025, at his home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Visitation will be held July 7th, 2025 at 9:00AM at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Funeral Service will be held July 7th, 2025 at 10:00AM at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder followed by a burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Gwana Gwendete Bolden, 53, of DeRidder, LA passed away Friday, June 27, 2025. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 8 from 11am-1pm at Sunrise Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 8 at 1 pm at Sunrise Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be at Beauregard Cemetery. Rev. Alvin Peters, Sr. will officiate. Ethel Lee Spikes, who left us on July 1, 2025, at the age of 87. A celebration of Ethel's life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Norris Memorial Church of God in Christ in DeRidder, LA. The public viewing will take place starting at 9:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest at Spikes Cemetery in Bancroft, LA following the service. A memorial service for Pamela Jean Morgan will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at East Leesville Baptist Church. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Pam passed away June 28, 2025, in Alexandria, Louisiana at the age of 68.
