Funeral services for John Matthew Cartwright, 88, longtime resident and former sheriff of San Augustine, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in the San Augustine County Cowboy Church, with Chris Burris and Charles Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in the San Augustine City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening, January 21, 2019 from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home.

William Ralph “Bill” Ross, 75, of Many, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at the Sabine Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, at Lewing Chapel, 982 W.B. Lewing Road, Many, Louisiana, with Reverend Daniel Davis, Reverend Joe Hendrickson, and Reverend John Thompson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22, at Lewing Chapel. Interment will be in the Lewing Chapel Cemetery.
