- Marcia Lynn Chism Thompson went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 15, 2026. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 19, at 2:00 PM at Union Baptist Church and burial will follow at Union Baptist Cemetery in Florien.
- Stacey Lyn Bailey Smith, age 52, of Alexandria, Louisiana, passed away on January 15, 2026. A service celebrating Stacey's life will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 12:00 noon at Labby Funeral Home. Burial will follow at LaCamp Pentecostal Church Cemetery.
- Koda Tyrese Poteat passed away on January 14, 2026 in Bayne Jones Army Community Hospital, Fort Polk, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
- Funeral services for Margaret Darlene LeFeat will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Middle Creek Baptist Church in Florien, Louisiana with Brothers John Lewing, Lynn Lawrence, and Dacota Glover officiating. The burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Middle Creek Baptist Church on Monday, January 19th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Darlene passed away January 16, 2026, in Alexandria, Louisiana at the age of 77.
- Jack Chester Lee Keel, Sr., passed away on January 16, 2026, also in DeRidder. A Funeral Service will be held in his honor at Myers Colonial Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 12:00 PM, preceded by a public viewing starting at 10:00 AM. Following the service, Jack will be laid to rest in on Old Cypress Cemetery in Rosepine, Louisiana.
