- Jimmy Ray Brown, age 84, passed away January 31, 2026. Born in Oak Grove, Louisiana, Jimmy lived a life defined by family, hard work, laughter, love, and the Lord. Funeral services for Jimmy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Mitchell Baptist Church, 15551 Highway 174, Converse, LA. Services will be led by Brother Bobbye Russell and Brother Randy Leonard. Burial will follow at Mitchell Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Mitchell Baptist Church.
- James Lee Pelt passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 80, James was a lifelong resident of DeRidder. Visitation today at Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life to begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be immediately following at Spring Creek Cemetery. Pastor Dalton Isbell will be officiating at the services.
- Charles Sidney Scott Sr., 83 of DeRidder, LA was called to his Heavenly home on February 2, 2026. Visitation will be held tomorrow, at 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at Sunrise Missionary Baptist Church, 1326 Muldrow Street, DeRidder, LA. Reverend Alvin Peters, Sr. will officiate the service. Burial will follow the service at Old Cypress Cemetery in Rosepine, LA.
- Gary Wayne Dickens, 71, of DeRidder, LA passed away February 1, 2026. Visitation will be tomorrow from 10am-1pm at Grace Church. Funeral service will follow at 1pm at Grace Church. Interment will be at Whitaker Cemetery. Rev. George Lee Glass will officiate.
- Andrea Lafoe Reibold, departed this life on February 2, 2026, at her home in Leesville. Services will be held at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville, Louisiana, this Saturday, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Andrea will be laid to rest at Stephens Cemetery following the service.
- A funeral service for JoAnn Moore Coon will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, at First United Pentecostal Church of Leesville with Reverend Jeff Phillips officiating. The burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Eden Cemetery on FM 225 West, Nacogdoches, TX under the direction of Jeane's Funeral Service. A visitation will be held tomorrow at First United Pentecostal Church of Leesville from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- John Louis Woodard, Jr., of DeRidder, LA, a beloved friend who left us on January 27, 2026, at the age of 64. Friends are invited to gather for a graveside service at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery this Saturday, at 1:00 PM
- Ricky Lee Jefferson, 66 years old, passed away peacefully on January 27, in DeRidder, LA. A public viewing will be held at Sweet Home Baptist Church this Saturday, beginning at 9:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at the same location at 11:00 AM.
