- Wilburn A. "Mickey" Crnkovic passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Home in Bossier City, Louisiana. He was born on March 12, 1933, in Zwolle, Louisiana, to Ed Slavko and Frazine Ebarb Crnkovic. Mickey lived a life marked by service, sportsmanship, and deep devotion to family. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 522 East Floumoy Lucas Road, Shreveport, Louisiana, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Celebrating the Mass will be the Very Rev. Monsignor Bothell Price. Burial will take place at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana at a later date.
- Murphy Gene Ashworth of DeRidder, LA, who left us peacefully on January 31, 2026, at the age of 88. Funeral services will be held at Myers Colonial Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 10:00 AM, where friends and family can gather to celebrate Murphy's life. Michael Clark will officiate the service. A public viewing will take place on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. Following the service, Murphy will be laid to rest at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer, LA.
- John Louis Woodard, Jr., of DeRidder, LA, a beloved friend who left us on January 27, 2026, at the age of 64. Friends are invited to gather for a graveside service at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery on February 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM
- Ricky Lee Jefferson, 66 years old, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, in DeRidder, LA. A public viewing will be held at Sweet Home Baptist Church on February 7, 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at the same location at 11:00 AM.
