Michael (Mikey) Mancil Jr.

Michael Mancil Jr. passed away on February 17, 2021 at home in Baton Rouge, LA. He was born on January 20, 1976 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Mike and Lou Mancil of Belmont, LA. Mikey spent his early years and first school years in Many, LA. Eventually the family settled in Big Spring, TX where he finished high school in 1994 then attended and graduated from Sul Ross University in Alpine, TX. Afterward, Mikey settled in Baton Rouge, LA.

In October of 2019, Mikey was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Most but not all was removed and he then had radiation treatments. After time, he was able to return to work and live life on his own terms, doing things his way.

He is proceeded in death by his grandparents, Milton and Eloise Mancil on Belmont, LA and Weldon and Cleta Anderson, of Many, LA; One uncle, John Weldon Anderson and three aunts, Pat Quayhagen, Ruth Anderson, and Mary Ann Anderson. Left to remember and appreciate Mikey's Life are his parents, Mike and Lou Mancil, of Belmont, LA, his sister Heather Paul  and her children Elyse, Nate, and twins Hadley and Marilyn Paul of Baton Rouge, LA, sister of his heart, Angela Thomas and brother of his heart, Michael Esposito. Aunt Margaret and uncle Darien Basco of Many, uncle Dave Anders of Pearl River LA, Uncle Ray Anderson of LaCombe LA, Aunt Mary abnd Uncle Ron Musser of Belmont LA, and Aunt Rose and Uncle Terry Gatti of Many LA. Too many cousins to list that were well loved and thought of as siblings more than cousins. Many friends  to remember but a very special best friend, Christene Boudreaux.

Due to Covid-19, there will be a limited attendance grave-side service only on February 27, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Many.

Jackie Rivers

Funeral services for Jackie Rivers, 62, of Zwolle, LA, will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Keith Garvin officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.  Visitation will begin on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Zwolle LA.

James "Sap" Anders

Funeral services for James "Sap" Anders, 80, of Many, LA, will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Adamson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will begin on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at 10:30 AM at Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
