- Mila LeAnn Cooley, a loving mother, grandmother and wife, passed from this life on December 22, 2025, in DeRidder, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM at Lone Pine Church of Christ in Merryville, LA. Cary Cooley and Brandon Cooley will officiate the service. Burial will follow the service at Bivens Cemetery in Bivens, LA.
- Maggie Maudine Martin Kirk passed away on December 20, 2025 in DeRidder, Louisiana. Visitation will be Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 11:00 am -12:00 pm at the Texas Avenue Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA. Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 12:00 also at the Texas Avenue Baptist Church. Burial follows the service at the Hopewell Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
- Alice Mae Dorsey Jackson, beloved mother, Grandmother, and cherished friend, who left this world on December 19, 2025, at the age of 62. Funeral services to celebrate Alice's remarkable life will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at11:00am in the chapel of Myers Colonial Funeral Home, Reverend Frank Williams will officiate. Public viewing will begin at 9:00 am, followed by a service at 11:00 am. Alice will be laid to rest in Beauregard Cemetery in Deridder, Louisiana.
- William Mark Sylvest passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 20, 2025. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 5:30 PM until the time of service at 6:30 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Brother Ronnie Lalande will officiate the service.
- Larry Richard Arthur, 73, of Shongaloo, LA, entered eternal rest on Dec 21, 2025, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 9, 1952, in Zwolle, LA to Irene and Boston Arthur. Funeral services will be held at 12 O'clock, Friday, Dec 26th at Beulah Baptist Church, in Many, LA with Kenny Carter officiating the service. A viewing and visitation will be held 2 hours before the service from 10am to 12pm. Burial will be at the Beulah Cemetery with arrangements in the care of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
- Funeral services for John Douglas Malmay, 86, of Zwolle, LA, will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Keith Garvin officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at 5:00 PM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Zwolle LA.
