- MSG Kelvin Lynn Thomas Sr., who departed this world on July 24, 2025, at the age of 60. A funeral service will take place at St. Paul Baptist Church in Jennings, LA on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM, preceded by a public viewing from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Reverend Pernell R. Trent, Sr. will officiate the service. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at 12:30 PM at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
- Tuesday, July 29, 2025, Bill Gene Hilton, 90 years old passed away. Funeral services for Bill will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Lacamp Church of God with Reverends Shawn Waggoner and Tim Norris officiating. The burial will follow in Lacamp Church of God Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Lacamp Church of God on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
- Jerry Cecil Green passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, at the age of 85, in Leesville, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Simpson Assembly of God Church in Simpson, Louisiana, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, at 10:00 AM at the Simpson Assembly of God Church under the direction of Bro. Tully Burns. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Mora, Louisiana
- Curliss "Slim" Joseph Williams Sr., passed away on July 27, 2025, at the age of 90. A celebration of Curliss's life will be held Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 9-10 AM. Curliss will be laid to rest at Hopewell Cemetery in DeRidder, LA following the service.
- Theodore Harris, 90, of DeRidder, LA passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025. Visitation will be Monday, August 4 from 10am-12pm at Chaddick Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, August 4 at 12pm at Chaddick Funeral Home. Interment will be at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Rev. Phillip Baker will officiate.
