A Zwolle man was arrested after an investigation into sexual conduct in the Pineville area.
RPSO deputies responded on May 8 to a report of criminal sexual conduct involving juveniles that occurred in the Pineville area.
Detectives identified Gregory Gene Gushiken, 41, of Zwolle, Louisiana as a suspect. Through their investigation, including interviews of the victim(s) at the Rapides Children’s Advocacy Center, detectives were able to establish sufficient probable cause that supported the original allegations.
Warrants were granted for Gushiken’s arrest in reference to three counts of aggravated crimes against nature - victim under the age of 13 and three counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile - victim under the age of 13. Gushiken was located on May 20 in Sabine Parish where he was taken into custody without incident. Gushiken was later transported and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center in reference to the warrants.
Following Gushiken’s arrest, Detectives continued their investigation and discovered evidence alleging Gushiken committed additional sexually based crimes. The alleged crimes included three counts of first-degree rape - victim under the age of 13, three additional counts of aggravated crimes against nature - victim under the age of 13 and three additional counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile - victim under the age of 13.
Gushiken, who was being detained at the parish detention center in lieu of posting bond, was booked on June 21 on the additional charges. Gushiken is currently being detained at the detention center in lieu of posting a $2,410,000 bond.
Detectives state their investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are possible.
